I think October - January is my favourite time of year..
It’s so amazing how the whole city is suddenly draped in warm coloured leaves, in complete contrast with the temperature drop, before being entirely drained of natural colour altogether, as Christmas draws nearer..
.. the sky gets darker, quicker, and the pretty lights come out to play, and the coffee shops smell and look like gingerbread houses, and people dress up like cuddly bears, and the couples look cosier, and the kids look happier, and it’s just such a magical time for me.. that powder blue sky you get on a winter day, ah.. and the subtle glow of the street lamps which somehow go unnoticed at all other times of year.. even being placed firmly on the outside is overwhelming.
I needa hit the mean streets with Niko at least once a week, from now, so I can capture enough material to turn into a story. Or an imaginary world, at least.
For the life of me, I can’t understand why I’m feeling so emotional :\
I’ve got a new special place. I’ve not visited since I found it, that day, when graf-hunting with Nashy and Kieron.. so maybe later.
If I do, I’ll bring my camera so I can show you all :)
(I hope it’s not a crackhead jamspot by night)
It’s actually an amazing idea (certified, I showed two people and they were both really impressed/excited about it :D) .. so, Gemma & I are gonna get a team together, distribute the roles and hopefully have it sorted by 2013.
Top secret shit though, so just.. watch this space init.
If you’re a Londoner - and I’m talking to you creatives especially - I’ma need your help, so keep this in the back of your mind.
Currently devising a solo project proposal entitled “The Square.”
More details coming soon (if I remain interested beyond the end of the day)
Took Neeko out for some test shots today, so I could practice with all those picture control settings I learnt about. Like I said, I gotta get that shit on lock since I don’t do photo-editing software.. It wasn’t really a shoot, so much as it was me carrying him to where I happened to be going, but here’s a few images anyway. Maiya is so pretty, as is Zeekio’s hair :’)
I’ve learnt a fair amount about my camera, in the past few hours. I’m not usually one for user guides, but I know the D3000 has more functions than I can even begin to dream of, and this guy is fun fun fun!

.. since I don’t use photo-editing software, it’s essential for me to learn how to get my colours, tones, effects and watevah else exactly how I want them.
I also wanna learn as many interesting techniques as possible whilst my current hype remains. Pretty much mastered the basics of my favourite (motion blur) during the last proper hype, so it’s time to move on to more advanced aspects of it, alongside the basics of some others.
I’ll test out all my newfound knowledge when I get a chance and (possibly) upload to track my progress.
This weather needs to cool down, a photoshoot is in order..
.. not for any particular reason, s’just I really enjoy it, and I’d like to use all this spare time I’ve got to develop useful skills.
I actually find it more “inspiring” (as in, I feel the urge to pull out a camera) than, say.. a walk through a Tourist area in another country, or like.. the view from atop a mountain. Or watevs.
I dunno what it is.. something about the colours, textures, shapes n stuff, I guess.. visually appealing, aint it.
Owning a fisheye lens DOES NOT make you a motherfucking photographer.
I hate rich kids.

Yay!! I hate ordering things online though, I got him like 2 days ago, had to wait on a memory card.. still waiting for his bag and his water-leveller attachment, kmt.
